I started Eastern Elegance in 1995 while trying to find durable, beautiful and new Victorian hardware for our farmhouse back in Western New York. I preferred the real beauty of the antique cast brass handles and knobs. Few manufacturers offered cast hardware and they were quite expensive.

Finding a manufacturer willing to make fine architectural restoration hardware was time consuming. After researching the Library, I found a Company with several Craftsmen from the old school of casting willing to make hardware from antique doorknobs from the late 1800's. They have also been helpful in the design and fine finishing of each piece.
